Koala playgroup is a local playgroup run by church volunteers for more than 15 years. We provide creative playgroup activities in a safe church playgroup environment both indoor and outdoor. We welcome all families with children aged 0-5 years from the Georges River council and Canterbury Bankstown council areas to join.
What are the benefits of joining a playgroup?
Local playgroups are great places for children to have fun and learn through play in a friendly environment. The benefits of joining a playgroup include:
- It encourages parents/carers to get out of the house, relax, meet up with new friends living locally
- Both children and adults can interact freely with each other and build friendships at playgroup
What activities are provided in Koala Playgroup?
Depending on the age range of children, we provide appropriate indoor/outdoor fun activities. These include:
- Physical games, crafts, painting, singing, dancing, telling stories
Koala Playgroup never stops finding how to improve and understand children in this changing world. We encourage children to explore, express themselves, interact with other kids and learn through play in a safe, creative, loving way.
We speak English and Chinese. Older kids can even explore some very simple Chinese words and show off to their parents! We hold special playgroup activities to celebrate Chinese festivals too.
At Koala Playgroup, snacks and drinks are provided to everyone including parents/carers. Please bring your own water and hat for your kids.
Koala Playgroup details:
Children: 0-5 years
Languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin
Where: Beverly Hills Chinese Baptist Church, 192 Stoney Creek Road, Beverly Hills NSW
When: 10am – 12pm, every Tuesday of a school term (except for the 1st Tuesday & public holidays)
Snacks: $3 per family each time
Surrounding suburbs: Kingsgrove, Roselands, Clemton Park, Riverwood, Padstow, Revesby, Lugano, Peakhurst, Mortdale, Oatley, Penshurst, Hurstville, Bexley, Kogarah and more if you are interested!
