PASSAGE: Galatians 6:1-5
Big Idea:
When we restore a Christian who has fallen into sin, we fulfill the law of Christ.
Christ’s law is that we love one another as He has loved us.
When we restore a Christian who has fallen into sin, we fulfill the law of Christ.
Christ’s law is that we love one another as He has loved us.
The fruit of the Spirit can only grow through daily surrender to Jesus,
relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to obey God’s Word in our daily lives.
When we put our trust in Jesus, He frees us from the burden of the Law (which we can’t keep).
He gives us a yoke of a loving relationship with Him and the power to obey Him (Gal. 5:16-23)
Just as Isaac is a child of promise by faith, so Christians are children of promise by faith in Jesus –
born to freedom from sin and death.
Big Idea:
Godly love requires that we not only say positive things to those we love but also saying hard truths so that they will grow in Christ-likeness.
Big Idea:
The purpose of the Law has always been to point us to Jesus and to our need to be saved by Him through faith.
Faith in God has always been God’s way for salvation both in the OT and in the NT.
We have to live by obedient faith just as we were saved by faith.
